Case Study On Dd Intake

Decent Essays
Present for the DD intake was Alejandro, his mother Maritza, Engagement Coordinator Maria Mejia with Youth and Family Services of VA and Roxanna the Spanish Interpreter with VCC. Alejandro does not communicate with words. He utilizes a communication device which his mother did not bring to the intake. Alejandro was content playing on his mother's phone and watching his favorite cartoon Sponge Bob Square Pants. Anytime the phone was removed he became upset and banged his hands on the table and made facial expressions and sounds as if he were crying but did not.
During the VIDES worksheet everyone in the room clapped when he completed something on the sheet. This Alejandro clapped as well and smelled and was excited to try something else.

I will discuss these three important competences in relation to a particular intervention, and how such contributed to, and informed my practice. Child development theories…
