The scenario that I choose for this case study is about a fifteen-year-old female who was forcibly to have sex with her father and became a pregnant. By the time she discovered her pregnancy, it was 19 weeks pregnant. In this paper, I will provide different options my patient can consider and will be applying health care principles and theories to support the options offer to her. I believe that helping this young lady keep the fetus for the rest of pregnancy and then given the baby for adoption will be a better option for my patient.

By providing three different options for my patient, I was able to show her that retaining the pregnancy and not reaching the goal is not the only option. I was able to show that there is an option where she can give her infant for adoption and still be able to reach all of the goals be the same as her friends and others around her. Finally, adoption is the best option to my patient because adoption can give her a chance to continue to higher education and enjoying her teenage life. Adoption also prevents harm to the patient and the fetus because an abortion can significantly cause problems to her health and lead to death. Carrying the baby until the term date and giving a birth through C-section will cause less harm than what she goes through for abortion. Her pregnancy is also past 3 months so we know that she is too late to have abortion. Choosing to go for an abortion will probably cause her to lose not just the fetuses’ life but also her own life. Therefore, the best option for her and her baby is to have him raised by adoption agencies and still be able to see her baby often with permission from the
