Part #1.-

Adian and I created a carrier for two Ping-Pong balls that look like pair of glasses. To make this model we used four rectangular prisms and a cube. We used two long and skinny rectangular prisms to make the two temples of the glasses, and we used two rectangular prisms to make the two lenses. Then, we made a cube to be the bridge of the pair of glasses. We selected these shapes because when put together they resemble a pair of glasses, and we were familiar with the shapes. We also made a cylinder shape model for the four Ping-Pong ball model. We both knew a lot about cylinders and we thought that it would be perfect for the four Ping-Pong balls to be stacked on top of each other with ease so they would always be together and not

For our first model we choose to make four rectangular prisms, and one cube to make a pair of glasses for the two Ping-Pong ball model. We choose these shapes because, we both knew how to find the surface area and volume of them to the point where it wasn’t easy, but it was not super difficult. We felt safe using these shapes. When put together they also can be taped together perfectly to resemble a pair of glasses. We thought that this would be a great model to make because, for one thing my partner and I both wear glasses so we thought that it would be a fun, familiar, and a creative model to make to house our Ping-Pong balls. It's also a very creative idea, and not a bland idea. For our second model we chose to make a more simple model which is a cylinder. We chose this idea because, even though it is not the most fun model to look at, it is also very convenient. The Ping-Pong balls would fit perfectly in it, and you can stack the balls on top of each other. They would be easy to take out, and they would be organized. This is why we choose the cylinder model for our four Ping-Pong ball model. My partner and I worked together through our words, rather than grabbing, or yelling. We also assigned jobs to each other to get things done faster. My partner and I selected certain designs with certain shapes for specific …show more content…
We also knew that it would be simple, but not too simple to make since we are familiar with the shapes that make it up. Also, it is also a very creative design, and that's what we were aiming for in at least one of the designs. My partner and I decided to make the glasses super colorful and fun looking. My partner used a variety of fun colors to make the design pop out and draw the eye. We wanted out design to be noticed. Most people look at things that are attractive and not bland, so we made our prototype very eye appealing. I think it would be fairly easy to shelve because it's not a wobbly structure and each design would go right on top of each other. Our prototype has eye appealing

Discussion For lab 2, our group has a hard time working on some part. There were several mistakes, which hold us for the entire hour. First, writing code wasn’t bad, but the error made in the code takes time to debug it. And even for the pin planner, we had assigned a wrong pin on some output/input, which also take time to re-assign it. Building and Testing Truth Tables (Concurrent logic)…

If you don't do this the ball won't go straight. It will either hook to the left or slice to the right. Conclusion Let's take a look at our research paper one more time and briefly go over what we talked about. We talked about history of golf ball, Titleist Pro V1, Callaway Warbird, why do golf balls have dimples, hitting the ball, and mass and velocity. Once again our purpose to our experiment is to see: do more expensive golf balls go farther than less expensive golf balls.…

In our lab I was investigating: Does the height you drop the ball affect how it will bounce? When we were doing this lab person #1 held the meter stick, and person #2 held the bouncy ball when person #3 was ready to record the height the ball bounced person #2 dropped the bouncy ball and told the height the ball was dropped and the height the ball went to. Our materials were 3 people, a meter stick, pencil and paper, and a bouncy ball. As we dropped the bouncy ball from a greater height it bounced about half of the height we dropped the bouncy ball from. For example when we dropped the bouncy ball from twenty centimeters the ball only bounced to 16cm.…

For a science lesson, students could have a lesson plan on weight and mass by picking up any object in the classroom and putting it on a scale and then pick another object and put it on the other side the scale to observe the different between the two objects weight and mass. This could show students that objects that don’t look the same could actually be the same weight or mass. It would also be fun for students to try all different types of objects to find out their weight or mass. Lastly, the bubbles could be a great way to introduce the unit…
