United States of America is a MEDC (more economically developed country), this means if a lot of companies are outsourcing to south Asian countries this can have a negative impact on globalization of the United States. This is due to outsourcing, and this is because of major companies setting up their call centers in other countries than USA.…

This paradigm shift has developed mass production in the automobile industry instead of craft production. The economies of scale came into driving force due to the large-scale production. Outsourcing America, in my opinion, has been bad, as someone who was a displaced worker at one time due to the company that I worked for closing down and moving to Mexico. For some industries, lower labor costs have brought higher profits. Modern consumers are enjoying access to more goods at lower prices.…

I think we always joke about how everything is made in China, but that joke becomes more real every day. It is more than a joke and has been a real tragedy that has affected the American economy and American workers. While many agree that offshoring is good for consumers, it also has caused many people to lose their jobs, which likely decreases consumption for those who lost their jobs, which in turn creates an even greater negative effect on our nation’s economy, since less people are spending money. While I love shopping for low prices, I believe corporations have taken it too far in focusing on their bottom line. Businesses mark up products to unbelievable amounts regardless of labor costs, so I am not completely convinced that labor being cheaper makes products cheaper, especially because of all the extra shipping costs to bring the products to the United States to be distributed.…

There needs to be a balance to where there is enough production in the U.S. so Americans can still survive. Outsourcing is starting to get out of hand in the U.S. and something needs to happen to where there are still jobs in the U.S. for the people.…

Ford and their investors are also stakeholders in this case, as the sales of their vehicles determines profit and directly influences the value of investors’ investments. While a car company generally has the power to piece together a vehicle however they please, investors are salient, and they could bail out of their investments if they see lower sales. According to investor behavior, once one investor flees, others will follow suit, so it is imperative that Ford and other car companies maximize profit. The companies clearly feel competitive pressure in these situations, and this can lead to ethical failures…

However the differences with the other company’s vs Ford are that they seem to be more diversified than Ford. Ford has truly focused on aligning all of the structures to all function the same no matter what location with very little diversification to include a right sizing effort to reduce the platforms and slim down. The other companies have not focused on this type of right sizing and because of this I truly believe that Ford is most likely to be more successful in the long term. They are staying the course and making sure that they can function on their own with no assistance and taking small steps to…
