Sunflower Operation Plan for the NAB Company Sunflower Rhythm Jazz Coffee Café is determined to become a daily necessity for local coffee lovers, a place to dream, sit back and listening to some great music as you try to escape the stresses of life. The café will operate in a 2500 square feet property within walking distance from the St. Charles Mall located in the heart of Waldorf Md. The café will be fully equipped with tables and distinct chairs in the shape of a sunflower, refrigerators, coffee brewing machines, speakers and microphones with a surround sound area where the entertainment will set up. Sunflower Café will maintain new developments and continually upgrade not only our equipment but also our skills. The critical component of the plan is to equip fully our staff with new software to be as productive as possible. The café will have six computers, four scanners, two fax machines, and six telephones. The café will also have a surround sound, Bose speaker system and 3 microphones to enhance the dynamic sounds of our entertainment. QuickBooks accounting software will be installed to enhance the sales and inventory for the smooth operation of the Sunflower Café. The café will use the internet and offer free wifi that promotes the business operation that ranges from the company website, social media to surfing the net. Burnett cited in Halbert and Ingulli (2012), that “good advertising does not just circulate information but penetrates the public mind with desires and beliefs” (p.242). Sunflower use of social media and marketing has greatly increased. Our customer’s base is growing due to outstanding customer service and their experiences here at Sunflower café by word of mouth. Social media is quickly taking the spotlight as it continues to influence how Sunflower café identify itself and products within the marketplace. Trena brings experience in the area of management. She previously owned one of the top hair salons in the Waldorf area called Shear Divaz II Hair Salon. She also possesses acquired leadership skills from her position as the Director of Operations at Council of Large Public Housing Authority. Trena holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a MBA from Strayer. Sonya Fultz is the operations manager and Naugie Pratt is the store manager. The operational manager will deal with the daily operations and will focus on following rules and regulations regarding the industry, evolving technology and customer demands. The store manager will focus on hiring staff, training staff, making sure the store is efficient with supplies and making sure that Sunflower Café is delivering exceptional customer
