SNC did not post security for his brief. He spoke loudly and assertively, and went through the skeleton of the five paragraph order. He provided a good detailed description of the enemy situation. However, he did not brief an effective initial plan, but rather it sounded more like a rewording of the mission statement. His tasking statements were simply assignments where he wanted each team-member to be and he did not adequate explain what he wanted each to do. Because of this, he had to take time to explain his plan and tasking to his team following the brief. During execution, he placed himself along the side of the obstacle where he could see and communicate with his team, and then once his team was having trouble tying the barrel
