1.1 Background of the Study
Sialkot Sports industry is an entrepreneurship capital of Pakistan and its unique craftsmanship is a hallmark of this region. It has a fabulous contribution in the development of our economy because almost all the manufacturing if this industry is being exported. Our economists believe that this industry is a nucleus of cottage industry and it is a beautiful role model for rest of the country. Made in Sialkot, Brazuca football has been played in this FIFA football world cup 2014 in Brazil and gained marvelous fame all over the world. More than 50 cent international cricket players deploy bats which are being exported from Sialkot. This is a second city of Pakistan which contributes larger financial support and first city who take itself many initiatives for the development of their people in which establishment of Sialkot International Airport is one an example.
Furthermore, like other cottage divisions, labor is more used in the production of sports industry as compared to huge capital investment in other industries in which Faisalabad looms and garments industries are good examples.
