The first prong is organizational structure; potential areas for this prong would be in the dimension of improving departments, adding staff in their research and development divisions. As a result of adding new staff members, there could be friction amongst team members, especially if new members lack contextual knowledge of the industry they would be working in, but are experts in coding or application development. The second prong of the strategy is to evaluate strategic control systems; RNL is a data and goal oriented company, with goals in nearly every metric the company can measure. Continuing with this element of the company's culture the new products and services should have SMARTER goals that allow the company to evaluate whether they are reaching their goals and the client's goals, and after doing so, revising the plan if they are not. RNL has built-in opportunities to revisit plans, as programs have the flexibility to change scripting, target demographics and initiatives within a fiscal year. The organizational structure of the company has been in constant flux as well; the CEO of the company resigned and one of the founders of the company came out of retirement to become the interim CEO, along with the CEO’s resignation, other executive level, and department head personnel have left the company. Though there has been a shift in personnel RNL boasts some lifetime members of the company; in a recent company-wide meeting some employees celebrated 20 plus years of working for the RNL.
