Panera Bread was inherited in 1981 as Au Bon Pain Co., Inc. established by Louis Kane and Ron Shaich, the company thrived along the east coast in the United States and internationally from the 1980s to the 1990s and became more influential within the bakery-café chains. However, in 1993 Au Bon Pain Co., Inc. acquired Saint Louis Bread company which was a chain of 20 bakery-cafes located in Saint Louis. Au Bon Pain Co., oversaw a complete makeover of all Saint Louis Bread Co. businesses during 1993 to 1997, causing the average unit volume to increase by 75%. Finally, the name was changed to Panera Bread. This will allow for management to stop and think about a different way of both setting and meeting goals to accomplish a productive system that will allow for growth of the company. Since Strategic management is a continuous strategy this business can get things in order and keep the operation running successfully. Effective strategies will connect the appropriate alignments of the business and its environment and the success of the strategic goals. Strategy implementation is another strategy that this company could use. If the strategy implementation were used the company could determine how to go about executing problems. Crisis management this strategy could help the business to avoid the increasing customers walking off and losing money because the company is unorganized and understocked with the items necessary to keep the business running smoothly. Orchestrating these strategies will help the business to regain control of the atmosphere and begin to flourish as a group to conduct the daily needs of this business. This, in turn, will allow for the group to breathe and regain the composure and to focus on the goal ahead, which is to come into work with a mindset to work steady and thoroughly with all the supplies needed for daily sales in this
