INTRODUCTION:
This is an add report to Officer Sprague’s #8091 original report under case #17012108.
INJURIES:
Victim Cindy Jordan sustained two approximately 4-5 inch scratch marks to her right forearm and one bruise to her inner right forearm. I asked Jordan if she needed any medical attention and she said, “No.” ID Tech Herrera #3599 responded to 1947 N. Marengo Ave. and took a series of digital photographs of Jordan’s injuries. Refer to ID Tech Herrera’s supplemental report for further details.
INVESTIGATION:
On Saturday, September 2, 2017, I was on patrol, in full uniform, in a marked black and white Pasadena Police vehicle, Unit #21. At approximately 1628 hours, I responded to 1890 N. Los Robles Ave., to assist with a Domestic Violence call. Upon my arrival, I made contact with handling Officer Sprague #8091, and he advised me there is an potential Domestic Violence victim at Marengo Ave./Montana St. Officer Sprague told me the victim’s name is Cindy Jordan DOB 07/29/73. I responded to the area of Marengo Ave./Montana St., and made contact with victim Jordan in front of 1940 N. Marengo Ave. Jordan told me the following in summary. Los Robles Ave., when Bernal arrived at the location. Bernal entered the backyard and saw that Jordan was there. Jordan heard Bernal say, “Don’t write me a letter Bitch! I’m getting out of here!” (Referencing to divorce papers) Jordan accused Bernal of cheating and asked Bernal to tell her the name of the woman he’s cheating on her with. Bernal told Jordan, “No! I’m not telling you her name.” Jordan’s son, Joseph Bernal DOB 07/30/93, was inside the residence when he heard Jordan and Bernal arguing in the backyard.
