A meeting was held on February 23, 2017, to discuss the results of Ms. Naomi Jackson's evaluation. In attendance were Ms. Bethany Miller, the case manager for the deaf-blind, Mr. Michael Lambert, the case manager for the deaf, Ms. Isis Mann, the employment specialist, Mr. Cedric Tyson, the computer skills instructor, Mr. David Niemuth, the money management instructor, Ms. LaShawn Washington, the independent living skills instructor, Ms. Ryan Marcopulos, the independent living skills instructor, Ms. Tammie Kelley, the career exploration instructor, Ms. Helen Waldrop, the ADRS liaison, Ms. Sara Presley, the ASL interpreter, Ms. Rosemary Guy, the ASL interpreter, and Ms. Naomi Jackson, the consumer.

Kelley stated that Ms. Jackson was a sweet young lady and had a positive attitude. She reported that Ms. Jackson had the duty to clean the bathrooms in Deaf Services. Ms. Kelley observed that Ms. Jackson scrubbed the toilets lightly at a slow pace and did not know to use different washcloths for each task. Ms. Kelley recommended a job coach and work experience for Ms. Jackson. Ms. Mann added that Ms. Jackson needs career exploration and exposure to other areas besides her previous work experience as a dishwasher.
Mr. Niemuth reported that Ms. Jackson was not able to answer correctly on most of the assessment questions, recommending Money Management class. He shared that the assessment took Ms. Jackson the whole two periods to complete at a slow pace. He stated that Ms. Jackson needs to know how to count currency correctly, how to take charge of her finances, and how to make decisions based on necessity so she will become a successful, independent

Presley has comments regarding Ms. Jackson's communication mode. Ms. Presley stated that Ms. Jackson seemed to understand male voices better since they are deep, but Ms. Jackson claimed that she hears high pitched sounds better than low pitched sounds. Ms. Miller asked Ms. Jackson if she is interested to learn American Sign Language. Ms. Jackson replied in the negative. Ms. Miller discussed the possibility of taking Communication class to help Ms. Jackson decide on her preferred method of communication and it would not focus on only American Sign Language. Ms. Jackson indicated her understanding. As of this point, Independent Living Skills, Career Exploration, Work Experience, Money Management, Computer Skills, and Communication Skills will be provided for Ms. Jackson. Given Ms. Jackson's level of motivation and her desire to start Gentry's program immediately, she was given a start date of February 27,
