KFIL is the large scale sector to start procedures in the non-urban & industrially backward region of Koppal. It started producing Foundry Grade pig-iron in April 1994 & automotive castings in April 1995.

Almost all foundries & pig iron users in the country are purchases of pig iron from KFIL. KFIL supplies quality casting to all renowned automobile manufacturers like Mahindra & Mahindra, Escorts, Tafe, & Simpson to name few.
