INTEGRATED MARKETING COMMUNICATION PRACTICES: POND’S

Abstract: This case study examines the integrated marketing communication practices in Pond’s, a high end brand in skin care products. It highlights how all departments work with each other, how they are interlinked and lastly if all departments are engaged in marcom activities. Brand manager was interviewed regarding marketing communication in Pond’s and how do they carry out different activities within the organization.

It includes marketing, finance, IT, supply chain, sales and consumer development, trade, corporate affairs and e-commerce department and within these departments there is a lot of cross-functional departmental work that goes around to meet the goals of the organization. By cross-functional departmental work it means that all the above mentioned departments work as a team with different functional expertise towards a common goal.
Usually, in Pakistan companies have a vertical organizational structure, however Pond’s experience a horizontal organizational structure where all line managers can be reached any time and are co-operative to their lower level employees.
