Good Morning Ginny,
I have received 2 calls from this patient. Michael is stating that last November he was in our facility for six days. Through records given to his psychologist, Michael was told he was brought here by his sister and was committed because he threatened to kill his mother and punched/smacked his nephew. Michael stated he was told that if he did not agree to be committed that we would attain a court order for his commitment. Michael stated he did call the police to file a report against his sister for a false statement. The police, however, advise him to call us.
Upon further investigation, Michael has not been in this hospital since 1982 and was a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. I am reaching out to you because I
