The organization I would like to focus on this project is Bobbi Brown(BB). BB is a global prestige cosmetic brand that empowers women to embrace and enhance their individual beauty (Bobbi Brown, n.d.)
b. How big is it?
According to the Estee Lauder Companies Inc.’s 2016 annual report, its 2016 net sales was $11,262.3 M aligning sales from its wide range of global market. Currently, more than 46,000 employees are working for the Estee Lauder Inc.
c. What is its history?
BB was founded in 1991 by makeup-artist-turned-entrepreneur Bobbi Brown. With a strong belief on inner beauty of each individual, BB has been launching several campaigns focusing on individual beauty, such as ‘Be Who You

As such, even though BB’s workforce is expected to be opened to a new idea, platform, or system, when the change starts to be embedded deeply in their inside culture, employee may unwittingly show uncomfortable.

a. Describe your first/initial analytics project: What do you want to get done?
As the first project, I suggested two strategies to deal with the challenges that BB has been through. First, customers’ purchase cycle analysis to precisely analyze customers’ purchase patterns. Second, in-time and in-need recommendation system to transform the current online platform more efficiently and customer-friendly. To realize those two strategies, BB needs to hire data scientist who can diagnose the current problem of analytics, examine the situation, and analyzed data to solve business problems.
b. Why did you select this project?
The reason that I selected this project is to provide more personalized and detailed services to customers. This will differentiate BB from other competitors and is one of the most effective ways to optimize website utilization as
