Bertha Taylor Elementary School is located near Santa Teresa & Cottle Road where there is a diverse community of all ethnicities. The school has roughly 700 students enrolled and the student-teacher ratio is on average 25:1 and their weighted 3-year average API is 905. Mrs. Nagatani has 12 years of experience as a third grade teacher and has been with Bertha Taylor Elementary for 10 years. Mrs. Nagatani has a racially diverse 3rd grade classroom that includes Hispanics, Indians, and Caucasians; there are no African American students in her class. We do have two students who join us during math since they are at a lower level of math compared to where they should be and a parent volunteer comes in the morning to work with those two students.
