America is the country of freedom, people in America do what they want if it doesn’t touch the law. For example, in my university, there is a lot of people who talk about the right, the Islam, the injustice freely. There is a huge different. When we save the words we will forget them quickly, but when we understand them we will understand them forever. The emphasis placed on studying abroad by Oberlin echoes my own enthusiasm for international experiences and being immersed in culturally and linguistically new environments. Although I have already travelled internationally, studying abroad would allow me to experience the world as a classroom, become prepared for the global economy, and increase my cultural awareness and sensitivity.
