Holt can encourage positive social interaction. Mrs. Holt could teach Eric how to problem solve when he is bored and find positive things to do instead for disrupt other students learning. Mrs. Holt could model positive social skills by praising students who take there time on the work and check for careless mistakes. She could teach the students how to listen to what others have to say and waiting to talk and respond in a positive way to peers.

Mrs. Holt could sit Eric down and have him do a little self-reflecting. He needs to know what he is doing and what the consequences could be if this behavior continues. This will motivate him to do better and understand the clear-cut rules of the room. She could also, assign Eric a job that he enjoys doing and if he meets his goals he is then able to perform that job. This will keep Eric occupied and is also a reward for the good work.
