Mario also recognized that there are two distinct customer types that frequent the three locations. Unfortunately, the student intern is unsure how to approach the analysis of all of the data that was gathered. I will assist the intern by designing an ANOVA and discuss the number of factors, treatments, and observations there are for the provided data. A two-way ANOVA is the process where a person can observe the simultaneous …show more content…
The locations (Factor A) have three levels, which are downtown Phoenix, North Scottsdale, and Glendale. The customers (Factor B) have two levels, which are cantina customers and restaurant customers. There are a total of six treatment groups or cells, because there are three levels in Factor A and two levels in Factor B (3 * 2 = 6). The six treatment groups or cells are the cantina customers at the downtown Phoenix, North Scottsdale, and Glendale locations and the restaurant customers at the downtown Phoenix, North Scottsdale, and Glendale locations. We do not have the exact number of observations for the two-way ANOVA, but it would be wise to start out with five observations per treatment group or cell. The cantina customers would have five observations per location and the restaurant customers would have five observations per location for a total of 30 observations. The two-way ANOVA gives us the unique ability to compare the locations to the customer types and the customer types to the locations. We would be testing to see if the average customer ratings between the two customer types differ among the three locations. Also, we would be testing to see if the

Scientific Analysis Paper 02 – Designing Experiments Some might read the CNN article “Are music and happiness linked” and think that going to concerts regularly makes you a happier person, but it would be wrong to assume that without further scientific evidence. Instead of causation (one causing the other) it could be just a correlation (just happens to go together). Just as Dr. Weinberg mentioned in the article, maybe people that are happier tends to express their emotion through music and dancing. To find out if going to concerts regularly can really make you happier I would conduct an experiment, where I would monitor the happiness level of about three hundred people for over six weeks.…

Ethical Concerns Experimental design is a field whereby ethical concerns are almost always a top priority. Although most individuals see ethical norms as common sense, they often vary from culture to culture and there can be discrepancies in the interpretation even by members within a certain cultural group. Furthermore, it is vital to determine any potential ethical concerns contained within an experiment and address those concerns in order to reduce their potential impact on the results. The first potential ethical concern that may be encountered during our experiment is an experimenter either intentionally or accidentally falsifying, fabricating or misrepresenting the data that is collected from the test subjects.…

With no intent to brag, but as a statement of fact, I do justice to African dishes when I cook, this has given my sense of taste a higher preference for those who can cook a good meal. The Mediterranean restaurant called Phoenicia, located on the South Forest avenue, is a silent treat for people who value good food. According to the official website of the restaurant,…
