Did man evolve from a monkey? That’s a question science has been trying to unravel for years. Science is known as understanding knowledge about the natural world that is based on facts learned through experiments and observation. But can you make assumptions as big as facts if you have no evidence from the time when these events actually occurred?
Apes
Let’s begin with the facts that we do know. Apes also known by their scientific name Hominoidea are a branch of Old World primates native to Southeast Asia and Africa. They are the sister group of the Old World monkeys; forming the catarrhine clade. There aren’t many things that distinguished the splitting of a clade into two sister clades. The biggest reason …show more content…
In order to do that requires interpreting the six days of creation in Genesis as indefinite periods of time. In many ways evolution and Christianity are not compatible. As in the Creation narrative in Genesis, it clearly states that the work of creation was done in six, twenty-four hour days. Evolution directly contradicts this. Which is denying God’s creative power. Just as Christ performed miracles instantaneously while on earth, he also did his work of creation promptly during Creation week. God says, “I have made the earth, and created man on it. I-My hands-stretched out the heavens, and all their host I have commanded” (Isaiah 45:12). The Bible says, “By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth…. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast” (Psalm 33:6-9). One cannot believe that evolution is responsible for turning monkey into man and also believe that God created each and every life. They are incompatible. If the days in the Creation story are actually long periods of time instead of the six normal twenty-four hour days, then plants must have been created long before insects. Do to the fact that it states plants were created on the third day and insects on the fifth day. Yet many plants cannot survive without the pollination which is provided by insects. The Bible says that God created this world …show more content…
There’s the scientific aspect and there’s the biblical aspect, which were both described above. Two different sides, with two completely different outlooks. The world is changing but monkey was not created before man. I think we can all agree on
