Woodfibre LNG is planning to build a liquified natural gas (LNG) facility seven kilometres south-west of Squamish. The facility will be a link to the tankers that will bring the LNG to the rest of the world to meet rising energy demand. With the building of this facility there will be a new liquid natural gas pipeline from Greater Vancouver. LNG occurs when natural gas is cooled to -160C° and condensates from a gaseous state to a liquid state. I’ve had the opportunity of completing my clinical rotation at Baptist Hospital with the medical team in which I've observed the different participants in the collaborative team and the specific role each person played. The team consists of physicians, surgeons, social worker, ARNP, physical therapist, and occupational therapist. Today at Simulation Lab I performed health history on a patient. Firstly, I commenced by preparing myself for the interview. Although I was nervous, as a nurse I had to be confident and prepare myself mentally and kept an open mind to meet the patient. Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT, was developed in 1993 by Marsha M. Linehan as a treatment for clients meeting the criteria for borderline personality disorder who are chronically suicidal (Linehan and Chen, 2004). Linehan developed this therapy out of the sentiment that there was an influx in borderline personality disorder diagnoses, and no successful treatment options specific to this diagnosis (Linehan, 1993).
