Problems faced by the company?
From a few decades the life of an automotive industry has changed because of implementation of lean and its techniques in the industries and a lot of sequential improvement initiatives were implemented to enhance the manufacturing practice changes.

The raw material is placed on the stacker that is before the machine 1 (OP1). The stocker can hold up to 80 pieces at a stretch. The material go through rough facing and boring on machine 1(OP1) and then it is moved to machine2 (OP2) where the part go under facing, turning, chamfering, and then it is moved to machine3 (OP3) where the part under goes finish facing and finish boring these three machines are fully automated. And then the part is moved to machine4 (OP4) the machine4 is dived to two machines because of long time talking process. When the processes had too much work in the progress, loader on machine3 (OP3) which has a sensor shall automatically stop the machine and the operator has to remove the parts on these machines. After completion of the work on machine4 (OP4) the part is moved to machine5 (OP5) by the operator where grinding process is performed and then the part is washed in washing machine on machine6 (OP6) and the part is measured on machine7 (OP7), finally the part is checked for balancing on machine8 (OP8).
In the process of the production the main problem is the operator at machine4 (OP4) has to move from machine3 (Op3) to machine4 (OP4) in a zigzag way. Handling the part more times and the both machines (OP4/1 and OP4/2) are performing the same functions and it is show clearly in the following
