My home town is Little Havana, a neighborhood in Miami, Florida. It is home to loads of citizens from Central and South America and Cubans, hence the Spanish name “La Pequeña Habana”. Little Havana was named after the capital city of Cuba, Havana. Growing up in the area made you gain some Cuban qualities, most of which are existent to this day. Back in the day, we would sneak into shops while the vendors were busy serving customers and sneak back out with loads of tobacco stashed in our hoodies. Later we rolled them over newspapers or magazines and puff away just like the mafias we had seen in movies.
