Kepler encourages its students to become effective communicators, by using all methods of communicating with others. For example, through communication class, concerning writing, they learn how to write professional emails. In addition to that, they learn how to write good essays. Concerning speaking, they are all urged to develop public speaking skills by developing a loud and confident voice, and by developing their fluency in speaking. Furthermore, they develop habits of effective networkers, which allow them to build good and useful relationships. To do so, they are always told to strengthen their active listening skills since those skills are the foundation of each relationship with others. For example, every student is always told to track the speaker, and sometimes, students are asked to teach back to see if they were really listening. Becoming an effective networker also includes knowing how to give, seek and receive feedbacks, which are things they learn in Professional Competencies; it also includes team-work skills, one of the types of effective networkers’ traits that Kepler students acquire. Additionally, professional skills require effective tech-savvy managers’ skills, and also those skills are learned at Kepler. This can be seen in the way Kepler students use the Microsoft Suite, Social Media, and how fast they are while typing texts.
