Case Study: Katy Silveira, Homemaker

The personas that I choose is Katy Silveira, Homemaker. Based on what I have learned from her interview, she is passionate about her environment, the community and the lives of children. Katy has attended numerous community forums and school board meetings to voice her opinion and it is quite impressive. According to Hallowell (2010) the Cycle of Excellence is critical to obtaining the right candidate for the job. The first step is to select the (Hallowell, 2010, p. 43), and it is dependent upon three things: What a person likes to do most, what a person does best, and what adds the greatest value to the project or to the organization.
In retrospect of the parent committee I was looking forward to fulfilling the parent teacher committee chair person position. The chairperson of the organization advocate for the organization and children. The parent teacher committee consist of 4 people to be formed from 20 parents, and 5 teachers. However, after meeting with Kathy, I decided to make her the PTC vice-president.

Today’s society has changed whereas social media is the number one form of communication. Parents often look to social media for reviews and I feel Kathy is the person to run our social media connection. For any organization to move forward there must be person to push for change. Katy mentioned that her strength is being bull-headed, and passionate and I feel this is a great quality moving forward.
According to Hallowell (2010) Cycle of Excellent step 2 is to connect. Kathy Silveira can connect with the parents, teachers and the students in the organization because of her recent fund-raising efforts at the center. A second connect is the present of her children causing Kathy to be happier. Kathy will be able to delegate responsibilities and brain storm innovative ideas to help within the
