Instead of remaining in the low level job, Jamie works hard and moves up the latter. Once she gets to higher level job she starts a family, with her sustainable income. They can afford to go on a vacation once every other year. Jamie doesn’t stop in at her middle level job. After 30 years of working hard she becomes CEO of the corporation. Great post Jamie. I especially like that you mentioned that no matter what race, ethnicity, or sexual preference each client is an individual who views their world through their own eyes. Moreover, a hundred people can experience the same crisis and each person views and handles that crisis differently depending upon their individual experiences. One way to build a relationship with a client who is different from you would be to explain that all individuals and families experience life stressors (Gladding, 2015). Additionally, a life stressor experienced at age twenty could affect a client at age forty-five much differently.…

Nearly one half of all college-qualified, low-and moderate-income high school graduates are unable to afford college. During the first decade of the twenty-first century, 4.4 million high school graduates will not attend a four-year college, and about 2 million will not attend no college at all (Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistance 2002). I think the most important social problem is the increasing cost of college tuition, not only is this a personal trouble, but a public issue as well. It is a personal trouble because you cannot receive the education you need to pursue your possible future career and a public issue because the higher the tuition cost, the higher unemployment rate. Most students are eligible for grant aid, a transfer…

My parents came to America from Argentina, fleeing collapse and insecurity. They came here to provide a better life for me, one which simply couldn’t be found in Argentina, and I’m more than thankful I was born here. To immigrate in search of a better life for one’s children is a praiseworthy act of devotion, of love. Millions of young Latinos live in this country today because their parents or grandparents made the decision to immigrate in search of a better life. Far too often, what they and their children found instead was only poverty, bigotry, and hardship—oft-insurmountable obstacles.…

For our final project in Business Statistics, we chose to pose the question, “What affects one’s enjoyment of Saint Joseph’s College?” In other words, are there direct correlations between things like gender and school year and one’s enjoyment of SJC? ‘Nothing last forever’ such a good quote. You can be on the top of your career but when you least expect it, you can be without a job and begging for a home.
