1. Mr. Morgan and his teachers have a common goal and that is to match the teaching syles on individual teachers to meet the needs of the new students.
2. Mr. Morgan wants all teachers to be shared leaders in the selection process. They are working in groups wanting to achieve a common goal. Mr. Morgan creates the process by which the staff will be working toward realizing his goal.
3. If I were Mr. Morgan, I would encourage the group to trust the process, knowing that they need to use the limited data to match the needs of these students to the best of their ability. I would tell Mr. Terrell that I am leaning on him to be a leader during this process.

Mr. Boren is the most like Maureen because he is determined and has a level of self-confidence in terms of the social skills witnessed during the interview process.
2. Mrs. Patte is the most complimentary of Maureen because skills like being creative, trusting, and nurturing are important aspect to have in the role of her assistant. These traits were emphasized during the walk-through of the school where she noticed possible safety issues over-looked by Maureen.
3. Involving parents and educators in the interview process creates a sense of ownership for all of the stakeholders involved in the selection process. The teachers on the committee would be encouraged to have a candidate that has some of the soft skills that are imperative in fostering positive work relationships. Traits like being trusting, accepting and encouraging would attract the attention of teachers. Ella’s behavioral approach has been successful because there is always a long list of students who want to attend her school and the school has had no turnover in staff in the last ten years.
4. Ella does not have a maternal orientation because everyone in the school whether it is staff, students, or parents have to adapt to her educational and managerial philosophy and not the other way around.
5. The philosophy at Springfield Day School management methods are the polar opposite of the current trends in education. New teachers will be forced to have a complete 180 degree shift on how they have taught in the past or how they have been taught in their respective schools of education.
6. If Ella plans on retiring and wants the school to be operated within the parameters of her vision of education she must hire a replacement who is currently on the staff because the staff has been a part of the school for many years and would not have stayed if they did not share Ell’s vision of education. If someone from the outside is hired to replace Ella they have to adapt to her vision of the school because even though she is retired she will also have a huge say in how the school
