Chief Farmer stated several member were contaminated by a solution inside the building of 780 Cottage Grove Road. Chief Farmer is working with another District Chief Bill Riley and the Fire Marshall Bill Lewis to find out if the gear should be terminated. The solution is Creosote, which could produce cancer. The gear has been taken out of service for right now, waiting to see, what to do with it. The house is vacant. The District needs to know if the house has insurance, so it could replace the District’s gear.

The District has 1.6 budgeted for this fiscal year. Checking Account roughly 800,000 in ready cash and 200,000 in investments. The Treasurer handed out an actual budget sheet. The Legal Notice will be in the Hartford Courant to read. The W-2 form were duplicated for distribution, the originals went missing.
HOUSE CAPTAIN’S REPORT: Homeland Security Dave and FM Nelson will revamp the access group in the office system now will be limited. The Junior firefighters will not be allowed after 9:00 p.m. hours. The new Laser Printers are within the same Network. The Station 4 bathroom is being renovated for under $5,000 dollars. Surveillance camera should be set up at Headquarters for security.
SAFETY OFFICER’S REPORT: Safety Officer Vinnie Serignese III, FF Elvis Best, and FF Jordan Bell work as a team. They meet once a month to go over the SOG.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH REPORT: The District has been invited to Celebrate Bloomfield on June 1-5, 2016, with an East Side Carnival. The Education Fun Day will be May 7, 2016. BHFD will be hosting a Coat Drive and Chairman Farmer has contacted the regional director for The Firefighters for Operation Warmth Drive. Community Outreach Coordinator hope Social Services Camille Jones and the Mayor Joan Gamble will distribute the
