I am a Dillard alumni, currently a community outreach volunteer at STEAM academy of Delgado community college. The Delgado Summer Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and mathematics (STEAM) Challenges is a summer initiative to provide 6th through 12th grade students access to innovative theories and techniques found in modern science laboratories. The students can choose from custom laboratory modules based on topics of their interest, which may be microbiology, chemistry, building science, structural biology, physics, math and digital designs. The mission is to motivate, inspire creativity, critical and analytical thinking in students of all ages through providing exceptional student-centered learning and hands-on training.
