Asm Swot Analysis

Hello Team,

ASM is on autopilot and has been for some time. It is our job to change that way of thinking and the actions that follow. We must be intentional about ASM’s path to its desired destination. Plotting the course beforehand is a sure way to deliver a positive result.

I find it interesting that many companies do not have a planned strategy. Some operate fine without one and others, not so much. I am not so sure why companies overlook this important planning tool. ASM has not had a Strategic Plan for the past two years. And some years before that. It is very strange considering that we plan our lives. The strategy is where ASM’s future lies. Culture is the structure (people, processes, attitudes, ideas, etc.) of ASM. Typically, business culture takes on the structure of its owner.

The meeting topics will guide us through discussions that will result in the following:

• Internal and external analyses are necessary. SWOT analysis.
• Balanced Scorecard (in other words, our evaluation tool) to develop goals that address internal and external forces.
 Financial metrics, internal process metrics and human capital are internal forces.
 Customer satisfaction in value is an external Force.
• Market Focused Approach. The only way an organization can grow is to satisfy its customers better than its competition. Adding value.

We are pulling the Strategic Planning Process out of the normal work schedule so that it is considered an important aspect of business success and does not interfere with our day-to-day tasks. We must give this matter our full, undivided attention. It is our greatest attempt to change the thinking and culture in this company toward meeting our goals.
