Wolves Clayton Hull-Crew wrote an editorial on the US-Represented website reflecting on the reintroduction of wolves into the Yellowstone National Park. Hull-Crew states that the wolves have been responsible for a major ecological shift beginning at the top of the food chain, slowly making its way to the bottom, effecting everything from beaver dams to river bed erosion. Hull-Crew claims that the wolves have created what is called a “Trophic Cascade” of events. A Trophic cascade is, “an ecological phenomenon triggered by the addition or removal of top predators and involving reciprocal changes in the relative populations of predator and prey through a food chain, which often results in dramatic changes in ecosystem structure and nutrient cycling.…
In April 1917, the United States had the right to enter World War 1 on the side of England, France, and Russia. The reason why the United States had the right to enter is because Germany had already declared war on us and the people of the United States, the Zimmerman Note that Britain intercepted and gave to Wilson which stated an alliance with Mexico, and if we didn’t go to war, England, France, and Russia would have lost the war which would be bad for us if we stayed neutral. Germany used unauthorized submarine warfare. Submarine warfare is when Germany's navy attacks all merchant ships, including those from neutral countries. We were not given extensive details about the situation and we were definitely not commanded by our immediate officers to follow a specific plan. We entered the engine room, based on our instincts and experience; identified the problem and worked to fix the broken steam line. There was no hierarchy involved when we were working as a team; each took lead on a specific issue and someone else followed. This was…
Political Warnings from a Warrior Turned Author As controversial today as when it was first written, Robert Heinlein’s 1959 novel Starship Troopers first appears to be a short, exciting science fiction jaunt common to the pulp era; an adult revisiting of his 1949 Space Cadet. Chronicling the adventures of fledgling space solider, Johnny Rico, who in his pursuit of full citizenship volunteers for military service and ends up fighting in an interstellar war (Heinlein, Starship Troopers). However the Hugo award winning Starship Troopers is actually Heinlein’s attempt to address U.S policies during the Cold War and to illustrate his belief that voting rights should be earned instead of given at birth. Heinlein wrote Starship Troopers to reply…

We need to ensure that the policies and standards are being enforced even if it requires disciplinary action. Chiefs have the unique ability to keep this at the lowest appropriate level, however. It is imperative that we do this. Over reacting can be more detrimental than being too lenient. We need to rely on our mess to make the right decision if a Sailor requires…
The means by which the Command was structured was very confusing and caused a plethora of communication discrepancies. At one point, a Navy SEAL commander cut his radio off to completely shut off the direction of an Army commander. Because of this, that Army commander could not warn this Navy commander and his SEALs of possible enemy activity in their proposed insertion point. This led to a very unfortunate incident in which a SEAL’s life and an Army aircraft were lost.…
As a requirement for my SA/CO 804: Community of Faith & Ministry/Counseling Development Group III at The Pentecostal Theological Seminary, I was required to read the book “Ministry in the Image of God: The Trinitarian Shape of Christian Service” by Stephen Seamands.
