Candidate Montoya took a few seconds to formulate his plan before briefing his fire team. SNC issued a thorough five paragraph order, but failed to address the Command and Signal paragraph. Although this portion was missed, the team understood the order and what the plan of execution. SNC did not post security throughout the entire evolution displaying an inconsistency in maintaining a tactical mindset. Additionally, as the team began to execute the obstacle, SNC directed the team pass their weapons off, thus adding to the perspective that SNC lacked a tactical sense of awareness. While supervising the team’s progress, SNC asked his team “can you hold bottom of the pole?”, rather than giving direct and assertive commands. SNC was hesitant
