Abstract
How is a well renowned cosmetic family and aviation related? How is it that this clash of styles would change the face and identity of airport fixed-base operators (FBO) for all of aviation as we know it? In business first impressions are everything and it’s something that can’t be undone no matter how hard a business might try. In order to increase their corporate image and the ability to control this impression the Mary Kay Cosmetic family set out to revolutionize the aviation industry and introduce Million Air as a luxury FBO. The concept was simple; replace the dirty, non-appealing landing site for potential and long standing customers at their home office in Dallas, Texas with services that would rival the best of 5 Star services offered in other industries.

Founded in 1984 by the Mary Kay Cosmetics family starting with a single location in Dallas, Texas, Million Air has grown to serve its customers in 30 different locations to include Beijing, China and Cartagena, Columbia. With a focus on luxury, providing high quality customer service, top of the line amenities, and a “first impression” that continues to draw clients back to their amazing services.
