On November 25, 2016 at approximately 0018 hours East Security was dispatched to the Special Care Unit E.D. room #38 in reference to a 51D (Disorderly patient in the E.D). Upon arrival Officer Ariel Weiland (419) spoke with Nurse Awilda Cruz and Patient Care Tech II Theresa Piccirillo who stated that patient, Demi Nelson (DOB:FIN- 05/20/1991-96496817) was refusing to change into Baker Act attire and declining to hand over all personal items. Officers Christopher Paz (408), Steven Evans (407), and Omar Alonso (420) responded to the call as well and stood outside the patient room along with Paramedic Timothy Edwards. Ms. Nelson’s mother who was present in the room, was asked to wait outside the room until the patient calm down and changed clothes
