Client Participation:
D: Group topic was focused on Dim 3 and 5 reviewing important issues regarding depression, guilt, powerlessness, fear, forgiveness, and losing control; also learning the relationship between negative emotions and recovery. Client attended the group on time; demonstrated an understanding of the topic by actively participating in the group activity, and shared how he/she would use the presented information to assist his/her goals in treatment and recovery. Client stated "I have to use learned skills to deal with my negative emotions, instead of just suppressing or using alcohol to avoid them."

A: Client appears to be engaged and had a positive response to today's session.

P: Client will attend the next group on 11/15/2016.
