CCIB Intake received an email from Scott Woodworth son of residents Bettye and Ralph Woodworth. On 4/3/10 at approximately 10:10AM resident Bettye walks into the laundry room in the facility, slipped on a recently mopped floor resulting in a break to her femur bone which leg unknown). Bettye was transported to Eisenhower Medical Center and had surgery to place a rod in her leg. Bettye remained in the hospital for a week until transported to The Fountains at the Carlotta Rehabilitation Facility in Palm Desert. The leg will take at least 6 weeks to heal. Bettye was the main care provider for her husband resident Ralph Woodworth. Due to the fall and the subsequent hospitalization Ralph is not receiving the care and supervision required to maintain
