• The Andy Warhol Museum board has been aggressively moving forward with respect to identifying new candidates for the Warhol board.
• The Nominating Committee has identified a handful of individuals that are entering into the beginning processes, though some are further along than others.
• The Nominating Committee would like to present the candidate Jim Patrinos to the board for approval. His wide, Kathe, will be rotating off of the board at the end of 2016 due to the term requirements that are instituted in the organization. Also, the paintings need to stand out. For My Perfect Body, Jessica Beck was able to work with Amber Morgan and the museum’s collections team to have the 1961 paintings cleaned.
• The museum is moving away from throwing works up on the wall ad hoc. Jessica Beck has been working towards making sure that every object in the show was catalogued. Though that seems like a very normal thing, it is actually new for the museum. Not scanning and cataloguing works makes it hard for future curators to find the object. All 250 objects in the My Perfect Body show were scanned, photographed, and catalogued.
• Another thing that the museum is running away from is putting stress on the staff. It is sort of easy for the staff to forget now that it had gone almost a year without a Milton Fine Curator. A lot of the work fell on a department of one. There is also one person in the Digital Department. A lot of the work needs to be outsourced.
