Amazon Inc. can be described as nothing less than a creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial company. These three terms take a role in the definition of management. Amazon has taken over the market in the past few years, leaving various companies such as food and clothing stores in shock. With this company growing at a fast rate one can only assume the employees of Amazon play a significant role in their success. Although, since Amazon has been put in the spotlight in recent years this can cause a cut-throat feel for their employee's to apply the three key terms of management to their work each day. If Amazon is such a successful company why wouldn't everyone strive to be employed there? Turns out that Amazon is not such an uplifting place as it's portrayed in the customers' point of view. Employees have stepped forward to say, "at Amazon, workers are encouraged to tear apart one another's ideas in meetings, toil long and late, and held to standards that the company boasts are 'unreasonably high.'" Bo Olson who is a former book marketer for Amazon confronted that, "you can walk out of a conference room and you'll see a grown man covering his face," he also says," nearly every person I worked with, I saw cry at their desk." From these statements alone it is found that Amazon is not a happy place to work. Although, as soon as Jeff Bezos took notice of this article, he had something else to say.
