2. Episode: My first day in my practicum was a very interesting and exciting experience. Due to some trouble with the breakfast cart and its lack of appearance in the classroom, I was left alone to greet about twenty-five kids (maybe it was a little less but it seemed about that many) while Mrs. H went in search of the student’s breakfast. I greeted the students and asked their names. We then began with some conversation about our pets, and anything else the students wanted to share. Presently, Mrs. H returned and we began the introduction activity, a “Would You Rather” list of questions. Mrs. H sent a timer for each part of the activity. For instance, she said, “You have two minutes to ask your group …show more content…
Reaction: After Mrs. H said this to me, I told her I thought it was a very wise idea and that I would be sure to buy a timer for my future classroom.
4. Response: I really like the way Mrs. H made use of a timer to help her students stay on track. I think it would also be helpful as a teacher because it would help you stay on track as well.

“Houston, We Have a Problem”
2. Episode: Everyday, the students use the computers for almost the entire three hour class period. Normally, we plug the computers in to charge after the first group leaves and before the second group comes in after lunch. Today, we forgot. The result – during the second class, we had to untangle all of the cords and find places to plug them in so the computers would not loose power. It was like a jungle in there, with cords crisscrossing in a million patterns across the floor like tropical vines. In short, I hope we never again forget to plug in the computers.
3. Reaction: My reaction upon learning that we had forgotten to plug in the computers was to apologize to Mrs. H for forgetting. She was very understanding and said that it wasn’t a big deal.
4. Response: Clearly, this is incident does not involve an action that I did or did not agree with, but I thought it was important to mention. As I reflect over the incident, I think about the time that was wasted, as I had to go around plugging in computers, instead of helping students with their projects. Although it did not take that much time, I still would have rather avoided having to pause and fix a problem that should never have occurred in the first
