The case study which was addressed “A Matter of Life and Death” had written by Villegas, Gray, and Alzate. It was broken into seven major points which were the department of social and rehabilitation services, Kelly Brown who is a new supervisor, the child welfare worker who is Melissa Manning, Martha Roberts who is a child welfare program consultant, the Carlsband family, the referral, and the home visit. In addition, the family contained Donna’s mother who lived with her daughter when Donna grew older. There is Donna’s cousin Leela too, who is much older than Donna and she had moved in with Donna’s mother and father before a few years earlier. Both of them lost parental rights because of their sexual interactions, and neglect.
