Summary
Coming from Chicago Illinois Rafael Esposito was inspired to create something different concerning Pizza. Through years of testing and development, Raphael worked to create a breakfast pizza with a waffle crust he named the Pizzafle. The Pizzafle is unique in its design because it can be eaten and carried around like an ice cream cone. Upon the creation of the Pizzafle. Mr. Esposito moved his family and the business to St Augustine Florida. He established his first mobile catering business called the Pizzaffley. On previous visits to St Augustine Florida, Mr. Esposito saw the opportunity for street vendors like himself to succeed. Mr. Esposito has appreciated the success that the Pizzaffley has had. Mr. Esposito has self-funded the start of his first mobile catering truck the Pizzaffley. Mr. Esposito would like to open the Pizzaffley Pizza Palace in St. Augustine Florida through private funding.
Discussion of the Marketing decisions made
Mr. Esposito’s board of advisors have met with him and provided him with the following options.
• The More but same Option. Mr. Esposito has considered letting his brother-in-law come into the business with him. It can be good or bad to have a family member to in the business with you. If the business is good then the family relations are good. But if the business is bad then the family partnership can end up going south. More of the same option is just that, its more of the same on a larger level. With Mr. Esposito and his brother-in-law operating two trucks will still leave Mr. Esposito, and his brother-in-law tied down to the business.
• Go Old-School Option: Going with the old-school option of Street Vending in the St Augustine Historic District is a great idea since there’s plenty of foot traffic there. Prior to going into this option, it is recommended that the company set up one test cart there before fully committing to this
