Register to read the introduction… In-N-Out focuses on quality, and to them, “quality food means fresh food.” (Armstrong, 523) They use fresh beef with no additives, and no processing. However, other fast food burger places cannot afford to do so. If McDonald’s took everything off of their menu besides a BigMac and Quarter-Pounder, they would lose a ginormous following. Because lets face it, the quality of McDonald’s is beyond subpar. Another reason other companies do not follow in their footsteps is that it would require them to stop the process of their ingredients and menu items. “None of their food travels more than 500 miles”.
