1. Explain why a case manager needs to function as a “Jack or Jill” of all trades?
If you want to be a successful Case Manager you need to function as a “Jack or Jill” of all trades. Case Managers find themselves in many complicated, ungrateful situations so as in some perfectly clear and easy to solve. In most cases Case Managers, must use various skills that they have if they want to resolve certain situation. “Jack or Jill” of all trades refers to being able to function in many roles at once, and in this particular case, you are expected to be advocate, broker, coordinator, planner, problem solver, etc. As a Case Manager you have to be able to look at the general picture of the problem, and it is expected to be capable to use all this roles together. It is necessary to know how to smoothly transfer from one role to another.

Once, when they have that set, then they set end dates for certain tasks. According to our book, there are three ways to categorize goals: the next five years, the next three months, and this day. I think that case managers need to label tasks, as most important and impossible to delay to those less important tasks. That way their work will be more organized and pressure will be reduced. Case managers must be aware of their responsibilities at all times, must be able to properly plan their time and last- know how to deal with others and when to say no if tension or pressure are too
