The case of Jesica Santillon is a very critical case, whereas miscommunication played a major role in her life. It wasn’t a good idea for the parents to smuggle Jessica into the United States illegally in the first place. The smuggle backfired on the parents, resulting in Jessica becoming ill and needed emergency help without being a citizen of the United States. However, the communication was very little considering they didn’t speak English as well as they should speak another language. The case does not state whether they had someone such as a nurse about to interpret the language of the parents to assure they understood the information given by the doctor explaining the health and surgery needed for their child.…

Introduction The US justice systems can be described through a critical analysis of a case law. The legal researcher is supposed to understand the police procedures applied in the case investigation and arrest, the court proceedings and the punitive measures applied. The model of thought that the jury applies, the defence that the defendant uses, and the process the plaintiff presents facts and evidence are given keen consideration (Reichel, 2002).This paper uses US Supreme Court case (US v JONES, 2012) where a suspected drug trafficker was found guilty and punished to a life sentence in a bid of understanding the US justice systems. Description of the case Antoine Jones, was a suspect identified as a prime suspect in some cases of drug trafficking.…

As far as the verdict decision, I completely agree. First, Sarah was not willing to admit what happened to her parents. If she actually committed the murders, then should would obviously be guilty. Sarah would not confirm or deny that she committed the crime; I felt as though she was withholding information. Her fiancé could have committed the crime but because she wants to protect him rather than give her own family members closure she should have to deal with the consequences.…

While screening, assessment, and treatment planning can be discussed individually, in practice they occur in concert. The line between screening and assessment is often thin, and treatment planning actually begins with the screening process as the case manager helps the client get oriented and find a sense of direction (Grand Canyon University (GCU) PCN-255 Lecture 3: Screening, Assessment, and Treatment Planning, 2015). The goal of screening is to “assess the needs of the [client] and assess the degree of distress the person is experiencing” (Summers, 2016, p. 284). Information accumulated here will be used to determine the client’s eligibility for services, to coordinate referrals, and to reduce administrative barriers to services (Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), 2001).…

Model of Family Therapy The Experiential Family Therapy model is a theory that was developed by the practitioners of Carl, Whitaker, Walter Kempler and Virginia Satir. With the Experiential Family Therapy Model, the goal of the therapist is to catalyze the natural drive of the family to reach growth and the full potential of the individual members of the family. Because of the importance of the individual personality in the success of a model, Whitaker’s Symbolic-Experiential Family Therapy (S-EFT) was selected and will be argued for…
