Interview with Walter Points: The following is a summary of the forensic interview with Walter Points, not an exact transcript.
On March 16, 2018 at approximately 11:15 AM, I went to the Muskogee County Jail to get Walter to bring him over to the Muskogee Police Department to speak with me. I brought him to the MPD Criminal Investigations Division and had him take a seat in Interview Room A. I asked him if I could get him a cup of coffee or water before we started. He advised he would like a cup of water. I left briefly to get my paperwork and returned with his cup of water.
As I returned to the interview room, I reintroduced myself to Walter. I asked if he was doing all right today and he responded with no sir. I asked him what is wrong. He said his back and leg hurt, he cannot sleep, cannot eat, and he is worried about all of this. I said, you have a lot of physical and mental things going on right now. I asked Walter if he was okay with talking to me today. Walter

It is my job to be a fact finder. Walter said you already told me that. What is your understanding of why you are here today. He said because you told me I was being charged with physical abuse to a minor and additionally being charged with molesting three out of his six other children. He said he would take the blame for “being a little rough with the boy”. I told him we would get to that. He said that is his opinion of why the girls said what they said. Because they were afraid, he was going to get too rough with the boy. Obviously, there was other involvement with law enforcement other than the day that I came and got you. Was law enforcement out at your house a couple days prior to me getting you? Walter said no. I said so you do not remember when police came out to your house, got a statement from you, and spoke with your kids. He said he remembers that. He thought I was talking about some other
