Case Defense Jury Trial

Decent Essays
During this trial was Bill. During the trial the the defense had most credible evidence. In our case the prosecutor's team won the trial. They put lot of time on thinking on what type of question they was going to asked. Both teams use more evidence from the movie. The verdict was not fair for me. I feel like the defense team use their evidence a lot more better. They use good evidence too but was sometimes getting off track on what should me said. The defense team also really was talking to the jury and asking question. The prosecutor team ask really hard questions to the four people. The questions was hard to answer without taking a pause.

In the story of The Ransom of Red Chief Trial I believe that the Defense Team had the most evidence bc they gave more evidence showing how something was wrong with Red Chief and that he has a image that he is a Indian/Cowboy and that he followed Bill and Sam on his own< but however the Prosecutors won the trial. I think the prosecutors gave more evidence from the story/movie bc the defense team made up evidence to convince the jury that Red Chief was having a case of ADHD and had problem.. Yes I think the verdict was fair bc they both gave amazing evidence to persuade the jury to believe them..…

The prosecutors and law enforcement officials want to see a conviction, the defense attorneys and the defendant’s family want to see a not guilty verdict. The judge and the jury are supposed to be neutral figures that listen to the allegations and resistance to them, and then make a decision based on their own opinion of what they saw and heard. According to the Law Library - American Law and Legal Information, in an article titled “Criminal Trial - The Atmosphere Surrounding The Trial” it is stated that “It is obvious that even if a trial is technically correct in terms of evidentiary rulings, jury instructions, and other rulings during the trial itself, a trial can still be unfair because it takes place in an atmosphere that is prejudicial to the defendant.” This means we can have trials that are precise within the rules of our legal system, and yet they still can be prejudicial to the defendant which is a fundamental flaw in our…

One of the witnesses was Kendall who played the role of Dr. Lloyd and he did very good with all the questions asked and the British accent he incorporated, made his character as a doctor stand out and believable. His vocabulary was advanced and he was able to stay in character when asked questions during the cross examination and tried his best to answer the questions as a doctor. In addition, he also gave good descriptions of Mary’s and Bessie’s death and tried to explain them from a doctor's point of view and how Bigger had to do with this. The only thing that he could have done better is that when asked by Adriana if Bessie drunkenness had to do anything with her thinking, and his answer was not precise and clear, making the defendant’s side have a stronger point, and admitting to what Adriana said. Other than that I gave him a four, because everything was good and he explained that Bessie was intoxicated, raped, and killed as a way for Bigger to hide the evidence, and that Mary was smothered, and raped.…

When you look at these crime shows on T.V, they have situations when they must deal with having the right witness on the stand. When these expert witnesses go up on the stand, they look like it isn’t that hard to pull off. All they do is talk about what they did in the lab with the evidence, or their expert opinion on the lab results towards the evidence. When Dr. Pagliaro, came in and talked to us about all the preparation for a testimony, it seems stressful and a lot more work than you think. To have an effective testimony, you not only have to be able to talk in front of a jury and a judge, but you must seem reliable and credible.…
