Procter and Gamble was founded on October 31, 1837, by two men, William Procter and James Gamble. Over the years P&G has continued to grow and innovate. In 1937, P&G’s 100- year anniversary had accumulated $230 million dollars in sales. They have grown to $65.29 billion in revenue in 2016. P&G’s headquarters is located in Cincinnati and has locations spread throughout the country. P&G has grown to around 110,000 employees. P&G started to sell candles and soaps back in 1837, but has now expanded to selling a range of products. They make personal care, oral care, grooming, skin care, hair, home, fabric, family, feminine, and baby products. They focus on those 10 categories with 65 products overall. P&G is currently the industry leader with room to still grow. One of the many alumni we found for P&G didn’t just graduate from the University of Cincinnati, she is also the founder of Lindner Women in Business. Cori Hammoor, one of our group members, met Janelle Wichmann at the first Lindner Women in Business meeting this year. Unlike when P&G first started they now have tools online that allow you to explore career opportunities with them. Their page has career options divided up into 15 different categories with their own personalized page, so you may explore easily through current career options. P&G also offers a wide variety of free sample products to test. P&G has realized that everyone has different skin types; all with different things that can upset ones’ skin. To help solve any issues with products ingredients causing skin problems people are able to sample the product first to see if it is the right choice for them.
