• Background
The following case discusses how certain jobs are designed or structured and given out to people having specific demographics only and not based on the academic or tactical skills they possess. The case is divided into two half’s but is all connected and revolves around the same person “Cynthia Mitchell”, 28, female, who holds a bachelors degree in agricultural economics and an MBA degree.
At first:”Cynthia” was not given the opportunity to take up the position of investment officer / representative, although she was considered to be the top graduate of her class. This position was filled by “Bill Hawkins” who was also in the same class of “Cynthia”. “Bill” was of no measure of “Cynthia” As he suffered a lot during

Cynthia should not hire Steve. As for any organization to survive and operate successfully especially in the field of investment. Profits are what an organization is looking for. If an employee is not able to achieve his targets then that is it. He defiantly needs to be replaced by someone else. Below are the following reasons why Cynthia should not hire steve.
 Evaluation was made on the ninth month which showed that all the representatives had already achieved their overall targets except for steve who had only achieved 27% of it.
 His portfolio had declined and also that several important customers had switched to competitors. The organization is losing business which will affect the shareholders and company reputation negatively.
 Some customers also stated the clear reason that they do not trust a black person with their investments therefore requested for another

On the other hand the groups in majority receive most of the benefits. But to reduce this many laws have been put into effect such as in the 1960 the rule which stated that there is enough space available at the top for many and also that to abolish the system of specific class protection. Later around 1965 the government also removed the law which forced the organizations to have a specific number of nationals working in an organization. Any kind of racisms directly effects the organizations productivity let it be in short run or long

    It is more difficult for Black people to find employment simply based on society’s negative perception of Blacks. In the essay, Jobless Ghettos: The Social Implications of the Disappearance of Work in Segregated Neighborhoods, sociologist William J.
