I picked an interview with Sumner Clayton he served in the US Navy from 1960 until 1980. The reason I picked this interview is because Sumner served as a part of a mine interdiction division. Sumner was originally put into the fleet sonar school in Key West but after accidentally electrocuting himself with 440 DC of electricity refused to go back stating he would rather "pick up the paint scraper". He claims leaving the school was the biggest mistake of his life as he spent the next 19 years on mine sweepers, chipping paint, cleaning, running boats, running cranes, rigging and playing with mines. Sumner also worked as a recruiter for a short period of time and stated that the navy did not have trouble recruiting until the USS. Pueblo was captured
