Challenges in Nonprofit Management
LaTisha decided to pursue a career in public service, specifically in the nonprofit sector. LaTisha finally found her purpose; to help people, to inspire people, and to make a difference in the society. LaTisha aspires to be a nonprofit manager, nonprofit director, and/or public servant. LaTisha feels that ethics is foundation of a person. It is the sound and judgment of how a person approaches a situation and makes a decision. As public servant, LaTisha would need to be proficient in making ethical decisions to keep the success of the organization. LaTisha decided to evaluate the case studies associated with the challenges in nonprofit management.

The content of the matter is a conflict of interest, due the state providing grants to the nonprofit organization, could show favoritism. In addition, for a state employee to lobby in the nonprofit organization deceases the value of the organizations purpose of providing services for individuals in need. It ultimately promotes the structure of unprofessionalism that could possible lead to corruption.
Possibilities and infer plausible conclusions
The leader in the case of “Ghost worker in a Nonprofit” should make an ethical decision as it relates to the benefit of the organization’s relationships and reputation. Jim as an employee of the nonprofit should follow protocol and duties expected; despite the notion of his favor and job creation from the authoritative state source.
Relationships
It is obvious that Betty Bauer is quite liberal with building relationships. When a former official of the Texas State Senate contacts you to employee a potential state retire as a favor, indeed it is a strong professional or even personal relationship. Based on her evaluation, LaTisha can determine that Betty will be able to build and maintain strong relationships outside her organization with community and leaders by simply maintaining structure and making ethical decisions according to lawful procedures. …show more content…
Pam Schrader, the Director Family Planning Advocacy Group asks for the right to use LCCAA’s donors list and program participants. The LCCAA’s Finance Committee is indecisive if sharing the list would be a sound idea. The Family Planning Advocacy Group has a strong professional relationship with the agency (Sharp, Aguirre, & Kickham, 2011).
Issue
Barbara is face with the conundrum of sharing the organization’s donor list with and ally; the Family Planning Advocacy Group. The issue at hand is to trust enough to provide personal information to an associated organization. The situation plays many cards in how it will impact the relationship between both parties; the relationship with the donors and LCCAA; and the concept of the ethical standpoint following the initial action (Sharp, Aguirre, & Kickham, 2011).
